Following an impressive restoration project, South Sands Boutique Hotel and Beachside Restaurant commissioned Revel founder Sam Jones – operating then as SamJonesConsulting – to oversee its launch marketing campaign.
Considered one of the South West’s leading names in hospitality, South Sands is synonymous with quality and the best in location, design, service, food and drink, so it was paramount that the new brand and campaign reflected the South Sands ethos and character.
Sam developed the campaign on location at South Sands in the sought-after area of Salcombe, South Devon. Working closely with the in-house team, she developed a schedule of events, marketing and PR activities to drive the brand. A full suite lifestyle photography and on/offline marketing materials were created to launch activity. In tandem, the best specialists were commissioned and partnerships developed to maximise on the year-long launch period, achieving impacting results for the client.
Highlights of the event campaign included luxury hospitality events and packages for Sunseeker and Ferrari owners, created by working closely with each of the brands to meet their customers’ exalting standards. An evening with executive chef, well-known restaurateur and ambassador of sustainable fishing, Mitch Tonks proved popular with diners. Tasting events with Master of Wine Liam Steeveson MW sold out regularly, whilst a series of special menus and receptions were designed to celebrate the best of the South West’s local and artisan produce.
Sam worked closely with a luxury travel PR, engaging interest from international journalists and leading to South Sands featuring in leading publications and online media in the UK and around the world. The launch campaign was enhanced by the introduction of the South Sands Magazine – a stylish coffee table production which was distributed onsite, digitally and in select venues around the South West and in London.
